Moving on up...

Pia and I are (more or less) totally moved into our new place! I am stealing internet, surrounded by boxes and piles of clothes, but sitting on a made bed so life is not too bad! Although the thought of unpacking is making me want to cry...

If I ever find my camera charger again, I'll take some pics of the new place and post them soon!!!

i feel ya Loggie

Think Logan's frowning cuz those are Mariners PJs? yeah, i'd be trying to get them off too... :)

My worst effing nightmare

While browsing K.Pilk's blog for some weekly words of wisdom (see column to your right), I came across this absolutely horrifying picture. I swear to effing God, if I EVER come across anything like this again I am swearing off swimming altogether. Which is sad, because even though I am terrified of sea creatures, I love to swim. Jesus H Christ.

He also had this to say, which I love: "Fish specialists are saying that Hippos are distant cousins of the whale. They think hippos are the whales that decided not to go in the sea. Hippos are like the fat people you see on holiday who like the idea of water but are too lazy to swim. They tend to just float about." I love this guy.

One more time...

It's closing weekend at Camp Cross, which means I get to go enjoy the beauty of my favorite place on earth one last time this year! It will be DANG COLD but gorgeous, I'm sure. So I'm off to help put away mattresses, clean the kitchen and infirmary, de-mouse the place, and who knows what else! See you Monday!

ideas? anyone? bueller?

I am coming to Seattle in a couple of weeks (Oct 24th to be exact) for my dear friend Bethany's birthday party. Unfortunately, it is a costume party, and I have NO good ideas. So I'm taking suggestions... There may be a prize for the winner... :)

The REAL Campaign 2008

Like my mother, I too am getting involved in the biggest and most important campaign going on this year... guilting Cara and Tony into moving home! Screw Obama and McCain, they've got nothin' on these 2. We miss you guys and plan to harass you into moving back!!! And bring my pups with you!

Reason number 1 to return to Spokane: no more buying plane tickets when you want to see me, or Hads and Mads, or Mariner's games, or the Boys, or mom, or go swimming in a Lake that doesn't have creepy ass fish in it, or you want to go to Quest...

night on the town...

Shockingly, I do occasionally get out of the house to have a bit of fun... last weekend Pia and I along with some friends went downtown to see a comedy show (2 crappy and 3 funny comedians)! I got a couple of pics, nothing too exciting... But we did enjoy some yummy sushi and cocktails first!

Keaton, me and Devin - cute boys and beer, does life get any better?

Pia, Felicia and Tara - lovely ladies enjoy their fancy cocktails

Me and Dev at FarWest crappily playing pool - yes if you look closely I am wearing the cutest hot pink heels ever!!!

Why I love my Brother...

So I shared a story with my bro Tony tonight, and he requested I post it on the blog. So here it is.

First, a bit of back story: Many years ago, my brother invented something called the "Super Meow." Tony actually would just scream "Meow" as loudly and shrilly as he possible could, to make fun of me or something (as some of my many nicknames are Kitty Cat and Meowfoy). When he was feeling extra saucy, he would do the ever-popular "Triple Meow," which was 3 Super Meows in a row (my personal favorite, but he has since quit doing it because it hurts his throat, he's a weak disgusting smoker, and he is lame).

Anyways, last summer at Camp it somehow came out that he did this, and it was demanded that I demonstrate the Super Meow to all the people that were there. I, being an attention whore, did and it caught on like wildfire. Chase (my boss) LOVED the Super Meow (and was pretty good at it too), so he and I ended up teaching it the first day of each session to the campers. It was pretty awesome and we did it all summer.

So the story continues tonight, because I learned from Pia that the Cathedral Youth Group was playing a game called "Super Meow." I was overjoyed to learn that this game consists of 2 teams facing off in a Super Meow Challenge where they decided who is the best. (In my opinion, Super Meows cannot ONLY be loud, they must also have a certain 'soul' or pizazz to them - something that comes from deep inside.) I shared this with Tony who loved the idea of the game, and I made him promise that if he ever makes it out to Camp Cross he will give them their first taste of the Triple Meow!
