Fab weekend!

Sorry but I took no pictures, so this stolen one will have to do...

The 2nd Stitch 'n Bitch weekend was a rousing success! Lots of knitting (I nearly finished one project and got a second one started - quite the feat for me), laughing (Lapoxia is the best name ever and I still chuckle about Tatum being so irritated with me and Lavs), eating, playing with the babies, getting my fingernails polished so beautifully by future-cosmetologist/secretly-part-Korean Logan, enjoying the sun and scenery of the cabin (why I've only been there in the winter I'm not sure, but it is gorgeous in the summer!), and overall fun times with some great gals! Can't wait to do it again, and next time Lis, Megs and Car had better all be there!!! :)

the list keeps growing...

If for some reason you were living under a rock and missed it, I am completely terrified of sea creatures. There is no reason for it, I am not necessarily thinking something rational like they might eat me, it is more that they are creepy and disgusting and scary looking. But a new fear cropped up today and immediately joined the realm of sea creatures... Armadillos! Did you know they can jump 3-4 feet into the air? It is horrifying. I tried to find a video of this but got skeeved out, so this pic will have to do.

Pia and I are once again apartment/house hunting, we are hoping to move before school starts back up. I HATE moving. god. ugh. we've seen a few cute places, nothing amazing yet. the search continues.

Next weekend is the cabin for Stitch 'n Bitch. Should be fun. I am missing out on watching Hoopfest which is one of my all-time favorite things. Darn.

I've been up to Camp a couple of times this summer, mainly for weekend things. Nice to get a free wknd at the lake to work on the tan.

And that's pretty much it.

10 years flew by!

Friday night was our 10 year high school reunion... I reluctantly went and managed to convince Sara to fly up from San Diego to come with. It was actually lots more fun than I thought it would be. :) Our class had 28 grads, and 9 of us showed up at one point or other, so not a bad turnout considering how spread out around the world we are (we have peeps in DC, China, California, Egypt, Denver and everywhere in between - very few still in Spokane actually). So Sara and I showed up, got eaten alive by mosquitoes (one of the downfalls of having a campus on the river), we drank wine and eventually our group got kicked off campus because the old farts wanted to go home, went to Fizzies (ghetto bar near school) and shut that down too, then ended up eating breakfast at Sherri's - overall a pretty great evening full of laughing and catching up.

Meet Case David Metzler, just the cutest little guy ever. Apparently he doesn't cry, just makes freaking adorable little cooing noises all the time. And he looks like a little old man, which absolutely melts me.

Yes, i know this post is lame. but i have nothing exciting to say, per usual. Tonight is my 10 year HS reunion, i am shocked that it has been so long. so i'll try to get some pics then.

55 years ago today, the man I would call my father was born. (wow, that was dramatic. whatever.) Anyways, today is the day - well, here on the west coast; back in VA it is probably tomorrow already. Daddy, even though you live way across the country and we don't get to see eachother or talk as much as I'd like, I love you so much! We are way too similar and bicker like an old married couple, but I am and always was a daddy's girl. I am still so very proud of you for being brave enough to pick up your entire life, sell your beloved business, and move all the way across the country - now you get to play with guns, meet incredibly random celebrities, drive cars around tracks, build bombs, shoot at the enemy, and basically live every boy's fantasy every day! I hope the next 55 are filled with many more adventures!
