Okay, since a call went out for new blog posts, here you go! I really have nothing exciting to say - I just got off a long (well, 4 shifts) night stretch and go back to days tomorrow, so I haven't been doing anything exciting... But here's what I've been up to:
1) Made an appointment today for getting my taxes done - I've never paid someone before, as I'm a big fan of TurboTax, but with all of my work travelling it is just too confusing now! Boo! Also, the accountant says that normally new client appointments are 1/2 hour, but since I'm a travel nurse she'll need an hour and a half! Yikes!
2) I downloaded a bunch of new music on iTunes - mainly the 25th anniversary (!) "Thriller" album and a bunch of random live John Mayer stuff (who I'm totally obsessed with right now and listen to nonstop).
3) I FINALLY (knock on wood) got my wireless connection working - I had to reorder internet which got hooked up last week, but for some reason could not connect wirelessly with my new router - I don't really know what I did, but tried a few tricks today and it seems to be working well now... thank god! I can't live without internet, and it has got to be wireless so I can roam around the apt with my laptop. ;)
3) I finally got to watch the rest of season 1 of "The Tudors"! I had been watching back when I was in Virginia, but then moved to summer camp and obviously didn't have Shotime - and it finally arrived at Blockbuster last week. This is a great show, totally trashy but slightly historical, and I loved it! Can't wait for season 2!
4) I finished the "Golden Compass" books - they were good, but not nearly as engrossing as "Twilight" LOL! Overall I liked the trilogy, it was pretty interesting. Maybe a bit to "YA" for me though?
And that, folks, is about it! Right now I'm waiting to hear from Sara - maybe going to see "27 Dresses" tonight - we have been talking about seeing it since it came out, so this may be the night! LOL. Other than that, I'm working on making some decisions about whether to extend my contract here in LA or not... I'm leaning towards staying for an extra 3 months at this point, but we'll see...
And here are some pics of Lola and Wally because I have been missing them so so so much this week! I love these doggies so much, I can't wait until I get to be with them again!!!
