Sara and I went to see "Wicked" last night, which was just great - really funny! Although the evening was a bit Bad-News-Bears...
It started out with me miscalculating LA traffic at 5pm on a weeknight... I was supposed to pick Sara up at 6 for a 6:30 dinner reservation in Hollywood. Well, I didn't actually make it to her house until about 6:40 - oops! My bad! Then we "raced" to the restaurant, aka sat in more traffic. We got a parking spot around 7:15, and decided to pick up our tix from will call. Right then, Sara goes "gosh, I hope I got the date right." I'm all, ha ha very funny. Then the will call guy informs us that our tix were for the night before!!! Oh jeez. Thankfully he was able to exchange them without problem. By now it's 7:30, and the show is supposed to start at 8 - and we are both starving. Our reservation is long gone, but we walk over to the restaurant (Katsuya which is amazing) and ask if they can squeeze us in - thankfully they did, and we were able to order in record time and stuff our faces before running back across the street to the show!!! The sushi was sooooo good that we have already decided we'll have to go back when we have a bit more time! :) So we were the last ones into the theater and literally sat down as the music started. But it was well worth it, and a super fun evening overall!
Also, I think this is the first picture I have gotten of Sara and I since high school prom? :) I added one of me in my killer boots - I hadn't worn them yet, so was nervous about them hurting and brought back up shoes just in case! But, once my big toes accepted the fact that they weren't moving left or right for the night, they were pretty good! :)

sara's ticket purchasing privilege = revoked.
I am d-u-m.
Katie you look fabulous, what a fun night.
true, Sara, so true! :)
Kip and I really wanted to see that show when it came to Seattle. We missed it. You do look great. I just bought some boots too. They're flat and supposed to go on the OUTside of your jeans, if you're a trendy wendy, and everytime I put them on I feel like such a douche bag! Sonja and Kip keep telling me that I look fine but I can't decide if I should return them or not. That was a really pointless comment. Oh well...
Lis, i totally get it - i feel weird with boots outside my pants too, even though i like the look on other people! LOL
you both have great legs - so show 'em off in the boots!
exactly girls. If you are brave enough to buy them, wear them! K, you look soooo pretty! And Sara, you goon. Love ya!
You and Sara both look great. I am wearing my boot purchase today as well Katie. You'll be proud that I've been wearing them LOTS! Definitely getting my money's worth out of my tippy, high heeled boots. And I love your outfit. I also love that you and Sara haven't changed a bit as far as being responsible enough to get anywhere on time together, or to get the date right. Glad you loved the show!
I'd stay away from the boots on the outside of the pants gals. The look is for two kinds of people: Celebs on their way to rehab and slutty highschoolers. Just my opinion. But I LOVE boots with skirts and gaucho pants!!! Kate, didn't you learn with the $154 latte that you weren't supposed to leave your apt. anymore?
anyone who will wear tippy-tonks shoes has not and never will learn from experience!!!
B, nice of you to say, but i do NOT have good legs - i have the Sundstrom legs. dammit.
I did not make the leg comment, I never comment on legs as I have the dreaded SL's too. I am choosing to believe in reincarnation, my only hope is to have a pair of gams in my next life, definitely a higher life form.
maybe we should all embrace our SL's and learn to love em. Of course, I'm the one whose son said "mom you sure have chubby knees" and that was when I was pretty skinny. He also told me my "legs jiggle when you run". Too bad for him he has the SL's too!
one good thing about the SL's, we aren't going anywhere in a wind storm
