Here is the "Scrap Noodle" blanket I finally finished - well, actually more gave up on and just quit knitting, it turned out a bit more narrow than I would have liked, but I've got more than enough yarn to do another! :) It is very soft!
Us non-knitters would have a really hard time with that. Could someone teach me how to 1) sew a button on and 2) iron? Normally I go with the, "it WAS ironed before I got into the car. It just wrinkled on the way over!" Think anyone believes me? Maybe I should just invest in a steamer. Do those work? Another random comment.
Lis just wear linen all the time, it gives you that good 'it's SUPPOSED to wrinkle, it's a natural fiber!' excuse. And Katie yeah for finishing Barney the Blankie! I happen to know there's about 400 bucks worth of yarn in there so you'd better make another one lol. XXX Nats, not finishing Anything lately! And the boys have created another long list of needs!
Katie, the design also makes for a nice, interesting looking scarf, if you want another way to use up some of those threads. Lis, don't worry, my amazing knitting mother can't sew on a button either! In fact, don't let her teach you if you can help it! Love you Mommy.
hey I can too sew! I just generally choose not to. And wasn't it YOU Rotch who got me into the whole 'my mom can sew you a duvet no problem' thing with your friend???? And didn't I not only make the duvet BUT A PILLOW TO MATCH!!
I'll teach you both Lis - I was the family mender and ironing queen for many years - and when I lived homme I had to iron Mimi's "paris point" bras and all the pillowcases as well! Such slavery!!!
I never said you couldn't sew, I said you weren't good at sewing on buttons. Case in point, you had to reattach the boys Christmas sweater buttons back on after one wearing...although that could be because the boys are totally rough and tumble.
tell Megan she can NEVER just leave a one liner comment. She would kill someone for doing that to her. Purple is my favorite color so I'm in love with this. and don't sell yourself short!
