back to the grindstone

After a lovely 6 (!) days off, I am back to work - my first night shift at the cancer center. So far, I have been lucky enough to have been working days (10 am - 10pm) which has been great and I have learned a TON already, but I'm excited to be on a bit slower-paced shift for a couple of weeks. I will be trading days and nights with the other Traveller, so it will be nice to be able to do a bit of both.

I had a nice break though, I must say - I finished a knitting project (the 'scrap noodle' blanket - i'll post pics next week, but if I do that one again I'll make it a bit bigger and with more of a pattern), I read 3 1/2 books, went to Malibu for lunch one day, ate Pinkberry a couple of times, slept in a lot, saw "There Will Be Blood" (which was amazing), and tried unsuccessfully to get my g-d internet working! I am sooo pissed at Verizon right now, because now I can't Tivo LOST! Arrgghh! Anyways, that's pretty much all I've been up to - although I'm super excited for next week, when Sara and I are going to see "Wicked"!!!

yeah for finishing a project! I'm so proud of you my little knitter! And you are starting to sound very LA, what with Pinkberry and all...

Wicked was a tough read, but so are most of his books. I can't wait to hear how it translates onstage. I've been working on my scrap noodle blanket today KT. Funny!

cant' wait to hear about the play, I too loved Wicked, but had trouble with the one after that. My favorite part of Wicked is that you can never look at those characters and think the same of them again. A great writer.
